A cool tool I came across this weekend. 280slides.net allows you to create and deliver presentations online. The interface is simple and easy to use. It feels a lot like Powerpoint, but with fewer buttons to confuse me. You can download your finished presentation in Powerpoint 2007 format, post it to Slideshare.net (another great tool if you haven’t yet checked it out), embed it on your blog or just send a link.
Try to include a relevant photo in every one of your blog posts. Not only do they add visual appeal to your blog, but they can also improve your ability to get found in the search engines. When you tag your photos with keywords relevant to the post, those keywords will get picked up by search engines.
There are plenty of other blogs that explain exactly how to post a photo. If you’re using WordPress it’s as simple as clicking on the “add media” button above every post, and following the steps on the screen.
I was searching for some stock photos recently and usually use istockphoto.com which is great. But they didn’t have what I was looking for so I tried a site called bigstockphoto.com for the first time and found it quick and easy. You’ll end up paying about $4 for a medium quality image, suitable for printing. An image for the web or a presentation run you about $2.
